5 Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How can i send Bulk SMS?

    • Login to your SunRay messaging account.
    • Click on "Send SMS" from the Dashboard area.
    • Type sender ID.
    • Select recipients type (Note: You have to add phone numbers to phonebook before selecting that option & you can also upload contacts in a .txt file - maximum size of 50kb ).
    • Compose your message (Note: 160 characters is 1 message).
    • Select schedule (Note: You can send immediately or schedule message delivery for a future date).
    • Click the Submit button.

  2. Why was my SMS not delivered?

    • Check that your phone numbers are in the right format i.e 08012345678,07012345678,....(No need for +234,or 234 our platform autoformats numbers)
    • Ensure that you are authorized to use "Sender Id" i.e when you are not a representative of XYZ organisation do not attempt to use it as the SMS will be blocked and your message credits forfeited.
    • Ensure that no blocked keywords are included in your SMS message e.g (WIN, WINNING, ...).
    • Verify that the SMS were created from the "Message History" area.
    • Contact support for assistance in circumstances not covered by the above scenarios.

  3. How can i store my phone numbers ?

    • Login to your SunRay messaging account.
    • From the dashboard area, click on "Add phone group/records".
    • Type the phone group name.
    • Type the phone numbers or copy & paste the phone numbers in the textbox (Note: The accepted phone number format is 080XXXXXXXX,070YYYYYYYY,...).
    • Click the submit button, the phone numbers will be added successfully.
    • You can also add more records to a phone book by using the "Add Phone Numbers to an existing group" panel.

  4. How can i make payment & buy units?

    • Purchase a SunRay messaging card from your nearest agent.
    • Login to your SunRay messaging account.
    • From the dashboard area, click on "Load Pin Code".
    • Type the 15 character pin code.
    • Click the submit button, if the pin code is valid the message credits will be added to your account instantly.

  5. How can i make Payments by using Credit Cards & Bank Deposits?

    • From the dashboard area, click on "Buy SMS Units".
    • Type the quantity of sms (Note: The minimum deposit for bank payments is 1500 Naira).
    • Select your payment type.
    • Click the submit button.
    • When payment has been confirmed your account will be credited accordingly.
